Dear Bioenergetic Users,

I have put together a program to insure your business and bioenergetic, bioresonant, and biofeedback devices. I have made this a simple process for application and policy issue. This package includes a short summary of coverage and premiums, and applications for coverage. A specimen policy is available upon request. The plan was designed specifically for bioenergetic practitioners. I personally manuscripted this policy to cover informational devices such as the CoRe, QXCI/SCIO/EPFX, LIFE,etc. There is no other program or coverage available in the U.S. that I know of. Some other insurance programs are available but they really aren’t designed for what we do, and I would be concerned there would not be coverage in the case of a lawsuit. I’ve seen one offered for biofeedback, bioresonant users that uses an aesthetician code, which if really meant for manicurists, facials, etc.
There are many exposures that make this coverage necessary, especially for users that see paying clients. We have the exposure of misdiagnosis, lack of diagnosis, or diagnosing without a medical degree. That is just the beginning.
I have been working on this plan since October, 2004. There have been several challenges in getting the policies available to users in all states. Because of licensing issues, we have decided to streamline the process by making the program available to any user in any state through any independent insurance agent. If you are outside Texas, contact any independent agent and they can get access to the program by contacting my office. Soon, we will have a referral list of agents in each state that are familiar with the program for you to contact.
There are two options of coverage as outlined in the attached summary. The first level offers professional liability only. The premium is based per user, not number of devices used in one office. Professional liability covers your services in regards to legal action that may be brought against you in conjunction with the use of your bioenergetic devices. This coverage is not limited to a specific device and is available to all practitioners, regardless of where you purchased your device.
You can also purchase general liability and property coverage together for an additional premium. General liability covers your premises for injuries to clients, not associated with your bioenergetic device. The package also includes business income coverage, $25,000 property coverage, and inland marine coverage of $25,000 (which covers your devices away from premises). Please see the attached chart for more specific coverage information. If you need coverage in excess of these program limits, your agent will have to obtain a quote for your specific needs.
This package was put together to be simple and comprehensive with a streamlined application process. Since this program is intended for professional bioenergetic practitioners, there are some minimum requirements to be eligible for coverage. You must be able to provide proof of a CBBT (Certified Bioresonance and Biofeedback Technician) or CBT (Certified Biofeedback Therapist) designation. These designations can be obtained through the ABBP, Novalis Organon, BCIA or NBCB.
If you do not have a CBT or CBBT, you should be able to provide proof of higher degree that consists of a minimum of 3 years of study. Such degrees include but are not limited to ND, MD, OD, DC, DHHP, DVHH, FHCH, DPh, DHPh, DMH, HD(RHom), or DDAO.
There is also a continuing education requirement of 28 CEU’s to be accumulated every 3 years. CEU’s must be from approved schools and the training may be in person or online. Approvals can be obtained via email if the course is not listed in our approved list.
If your practice is in Texas, please fax your applications and documentation to 713-850-0856, with a check made payable to Gwen Foster Agency. We accept checks by fax or credit cards for payment. I only need the completed applications and supporting documents of your education or CBT or CBBT. The other documents in this package are for your records. We will notify you of your effective date, usually just 1 business day from receipt of your fax if everything is complete. My office will contact you to let you know the effective date and you will be sent confirmation by mail. Incomplete applications or documentation will be returned.
If your practice is in any other state, please contact an independent insurance agent. The agent will need to contact my office or Myron Steves for appointment. You will give that agent the completed paperwork and premium, made payable to that agent. That agent will get paid commission direct from Myron Steves. I would like to build a network of insurance agents that have offered this program so they might get referrals from other interested practitioners from your city or state.
I am currently working on making this program available to Canadian practitioners and also working with Lloyd’s of London to make it available internationally. I am also working on offering piggyback coverage to be available as an add on to the Bioresonant and Biofeedback coverage. This would include other modalities such as homeopathy, hypnotherapy, Reiki, EFT, IET, nutritional counseling, etc. This would eliminate the need to have multiple insurance policies through individual organizations and associations for the many modalities you may be using in your practice.
